“The
Little Biker Magazine & Web Site that has it all”
It started innocently enough on my eighth birthday with a dirt bike, sure I had begged and pleaded, promised to do all my chores and get straight A’s in school. I rode the wheels off that bike but soon I was eyeing my dads Harley. Later I was caught riding his bike without permission or a license this landed me in military school. I didn’t get to ride again until I was in the Marines. I traded for motorcycle and used it as cheap transportation to and from the base. Up until this point I just enjoyed riding, I had yet to sell my soul. After getting out of the service and returning home I purchased a 1991 FXR. I began riding everywhere and to every event I could make. I started learning how to perform basic maintenance on my bike but knew that I didn’t have the knowledge or mechanical background to tackle any major repairs so I enrolled in Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. A quick 12 months and 9 grand later I knew just enough to be dangerous. Then I got lucky. A great friend got me a job at Titan Motorcycle co. Working at a major Motorcycle manufacturing plant was a dream job, I got the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most talented engineers, mechanics and managers in the business. At this time 96” engines were big and 180mm tires were fat. The custom market was starting to explode and I was right in the middle of it. After Titan I went to work for an upstart Gasket manufacturer. This was a blast, I got to design and sell gaskets to many of the American V twin motorcycle manufactures and component manufacturers. Although it was a challenge meeting the demands of these growing companies. I had the chance to learn and meet new people in the industry. After the Gasket Company was absorbed by a larger company I chose to move on and took a job at an Indian motorcycle dealer. This gave me the chance to learn the tricky skill of customer satisfaction. This prepared me for running Chopper Kings. Currently I am a managing partner at Chopper Kings. We do everything from building custom bikes as a licensed manufacture to everyday service. We are fortunate enough to have an in house paint shop, some very proficient mechanics and we have a large group of customers that we call friends. I enjoy all types of motor sports but my true passion is a fast loud V- twin. Southern California Biker Information Guide affords me the opportunity to stay in tune with the riding community and a great excuse to hit all the motorcycle events.
